I have a goal to achieve by the end of the year. After participating in the 24 comic pages in 24 hours thing, I felt this spark in me that needed a bit more exposure, or a push. After those 24 hours, I did 24 rough pages. The story was crap. The art was okay by my standards in comic pacing. The most important thing was I had those rough pages done within the time. That's more pages of anything I have ever done in my life. I was surprised, yet ashamed.

After it was all over, I did not want to finish it up and pretty much lost all motivation to continue drawing anything at all. I sketch random stuff every night, but I did not try to produce anything attractive enough to display. So yeah, I'm in a slump again.

THAT I'm going to change. If I could try to treat every single day like I did with the 24 page thing, I'm bound to get used to it one time. And the more I make and practice, the more better I'll get. I'm not expecting to create a bunch of art in little time, since I gotta spread it out with my studies in college(Algebra is a bitch to me). What I can can do is use my time alot more wisely... That alone is really tough for me to do, as I'm distracted by late night television shows, comics, and even the fan that spins upon the ceiling. I'll get there.



With that, here's what I have planned for this and next month.

-Classes are going to be tough, so I'll try to spend as much time as I should be on those. Failure is not an option again.

-I have thumbnail for a spread(One Piece) I want to ink and color digitally. Problems are anatomy and the execution of the idea. My plan is to try as best as I can using 3-5 hours of lax time on it. The deadline for the contest I'm submitting it to is next month, so the plan is not to spend more than 40 hours on it. I'm not accustomed with digital media, so it's a given it's going to take much longer. One day, I'll learn my own shortcuts.

-Classes agian... Never fall behind. Falling behind sucks.

-Sketch every night. Because there's no better thing to do before sleeping, rather than dozing off on study materials.


The only thing stopping me is this stupid persistent Spyware Tool malware that jacked the PC last week. It's getting in the way of my work. Thinking about it regenerating during work is even more distracting too. If it comes down to it, I'll have to end up doing everything in school.
