My Kingdom

Quick sktech. I messed up an a few proportions and missed some details due to the initial sketch being from memory but I liked this a bit.

Kingdom Hearts. Greatest thing I had in my teenage days. What I liked about it was the simple story of everlasting bonds between 3 friends living on an island. Even more, I liked when Sora did everything he could to somehow reunite with them after being mysteriously broken apart. Along with the concept of Disney themed worlds and the minor cameos of FF , it was great fan service.

The events at Hallow Bastion to this day remains my favorite moments in the whole series. The best scene was when Sora faced Riku and declared him an enemy(the buildup behind this made the whole scene and battle epic). With even more drama too add, Sora kinda died in front of everyone. He came back though, and that made me happy.

Afterward, Kairi gave Sora the Oathkeeper in promise that they would reunite after the final battle. So much warm feelings in this. After the final battle, the game ends with Sora leaving Kairi behind on the island. They were speaking but the dialogue isn't heard. I could tell that Sora probably wanted all three of his friends back together on the island like the cheerful guy he is."Everything will be okay! We would all be together like it has always has been! I promise!"

You can tell. I had alot of hope to where the series would go next, but then it became a big pile of poo. A boring organization came into the picture to take Sora's spotlight. Yeah. I'm not a big fan of Organization 13, their depressing potholes, and thier "feel sorry for me"melodrama. This continued to swell until I pretty much stopped caring. Adding Roxas and his backstory, I stopped caring even more.

I'm a fan of writing that leaves things on loose ends until it is properly wrapped up. That's what I call a consistent series. Kingdom Hearts has a problem now. It keeps adding to whatever simple story it had before. While it's great to add new plots here and there, it was all over the place. There was almost no heavy focus on the concept of eternal bonds and the origins of the keyblade. This is what made Kingdom Hearts interesting to me.

Rants aside, I still have a spot in my heart for KH. There may not be emotional scenes or warm feelings anymore but I appreciated the impact it had on me when I was younger. I still feel it even to this day. I'm hoping Birth By Sleep is good. I'm pretty interested in this new trio since it they seem to have a bond and were keyblade masters before Sora. I'll take that over anything about a boring bunch of nobodies like Organization 13.
