It's time I start anew DA with a much cleaner and up-to-date gallery.

I was looking back at alot of my old work and old journals, and I noticed things that was quite flawed about myself. My self esteem was terrible, and I was quite cocky about getting some form of artwork in my gallery. As time went by, I further lost even more confidence in myself.  My work never got the attention I craved and I was living under the illusion that my art was actually decent.

At one point, I seeked out criticism to improve(on Concept Art) and in result I got zero responses.  I felt like my work wasn't needed or fitted in anywhere.  From there, I stopped caring and hit the books from Andrew Loomis and Hogarth to self teach myself. While I did learn alot, it was stressful and quite lonely.  Barely leaving the house, losing my ability to socialize even further, and even breaking ties with old friends to honer my self respect.  Not having an official job didn't help me much either.  Practicing art was all I had.  The spark I once had was lost.

Later that year I ended ASK3 to make something new that can gather up a new small fanbase. While it wasn't as large as I hoped, I was still satisfied with the creation of Synful Syn.  I'm still working on ending the pilot as I'm typing this.  In between this, I sought out other ways to enjoy my life and be inspired.  I got a Netflix account and started watching numerous amount of television series and movies.  Even games like Scott Pilgrim and Assassin's Creed inspired me.  While the gallery was inactive during these intervals, I took this as a form of gathering information of how and why things are created.  

2011 is here!  I feel pumped and ready to defeat whatever this year has in store for me!!  Bring it on!!

Well, since my current method of going about with commission isn't working, I'm going to to spice things up a bit.  I'm working on a colored chibi section.  The price I'm going for would be 8 bucks USD, though that's just an estimate.  Expect samples soon.






As for video games I been playing, here's some.  

Scott Pilgrim vs The World THE GAME:  I usually hate games that are based off animated series and movies, but this one has originality behind it.  It's a really fast paced beat-em-up with alot of nicely animated sprites with personality.  It's really addicting!  I looking forward to purchasing the DLC for Knives.

Costume Quest:  I downloaded the demo out of curiosity since it sorta reminded me of Zelda Windwaker, Egoboo and Soulfu.  Boy was I in for a surprise.  The game takes place in a neighborhood decorated for Halloween.  You play as a trick-or-treater that got her brother kidnapped by monsters(who they thought was a big piece of sweet corn).  From there it's up to you to rescue him by getting Candy(the game's currency) and fighting monsters that raid people's houses.  What really surprised me was the combat system.  Your current costume TRANSFORMS into a BIGGER and EPIC version of the original costume and from there it plays out as a turned based RPG.  I'm so buying this game over Christmas break!

Super Meat Boy: Another demo. It's a real cleaver platformer.  At first I thought it was a joke until I found out about the Dark World versions of levels.  They are freaking brutal!  A real challenge for veterans that play this genre of games.  I look forward to purchasing before the discount expires.

Sonic the Hedgehog 4:  It's crap.

Comic Jumper: I hated it, though it was a nice idea.  I can't see myself buying it though.

Welcome. I'm offering VERY cheap commissions on just about everything.  I'm
always willing to try something new, whether I hate it or never heard of it.  
What I can't do is backgrounds, unless you convince or dare me with an added
price.  There could be some surprises and I may throw in a little scenery for free
depending on how inspiring your refs are.    Another thing I can't do is completely
copy a ref's style.  It's a bit tedious but I'll to stay true to the source unless it's
extremly technical.  

Now for some samples.  




As you can see, I draw these sketches with a ball point pen in a sketchbook over
pencil lines that are erased. The default color is blue.  Any other color is an
illusion made in Photoshop.  For deep blacks, I use Sharpies or shade them in manually.  

Sketches are $5 USD each.   The amount of characters per sketch depends on
the detail or the amount of work to pull of the poses and composition.  Please be
fair about the amount of chracters you request since I'm offering these at such a
cheap price.
